7 July 2005 London bombings - Wikipedia

"On Thursday 7 July 2005, a series of four bomb explosions struck London's public transport system during the morning rush hour. Three London Underground trains were hit in the central city within half an hour, and a double-decker London Bus was hit 30 minutes later. Early reports put the death toll at 37 people, and it rose to at least 50 on July 8. Up to 700 people were reported injured, including 22 in serious or critical condition."

Looking for up to date information on what happened and the after-math? There's no better place to go than Wikipedia, a Wiki based encyclopedia. If you haven't explored the power of community collaboration, this late breaking news page is a good place to start.

Flickr is another. Same type of concept but picture based.
