PCs Infected in 12 Minutes

"The speed with which PCs can become infected has now shortened. If your Windows computer is not properly protected, it will take 12 minutes before it becomes infected."

Scary. The first thing you do on a new PC before connecting it to the Internet is load protective utilities such as a virus scanner and an anti-spyware app, right?
